Shopping
London is one of the World's best shopping
cities and offers something for every taste, style and budget.
Oxford Street and its neighbouring streets are the most famous
shopping areas in London, offering all of the department stores
and high street chains. Knightsbridge which is the second
most famous shopping area offers department stores such as
the world famous Harrods and the upmarket and fashionable
Harvey Nichols as well as a number of designer shops on nearby
Sloane Street. For something slightly different Camden Market
is always a good place to visit on a Sunday for clothes and
handmade arts and crafts.

Useful Information
Public Transport
The city centre is easily accessible from all of London's
airports by public transport. Heathrow also offers the Heathrow
Express train service which travels to Paddington station
throughout the day and is also on the Underground network
on the Piccadilly line.
The underground (tube) is the quickest
method of public transport around the city. The Underground
runs from 5:30am until midnight Monday to Saturday and 7:00am
to 11:30pm on Sundays.
For short trips buses are cheaper than the Underground and
it is advisable to have the correct fare in change, single
fares are 70p outside zone 1 or £1 within the city centre.
After midnight, night buses are the only method of public
transport.
Travelcards are available for unlimited
travel in Greater London. These are available in daily, weekly
or monthly tickets, which allow you unlimited travel on tube,
bus, train or DLR within your selected zones.
