Glasgow can be visited year-round, but is most popular during the
summer months,while
accommodation in the rest of the region can be hard to find in the
mid-June to end-August summer high season and from October to April,
when some guesthouses and hotels are closed.

There
By air: Direct flights from North America,
Europe, London and other UK cities to Glasgow International Airport

By rail: Trains from London via Manchester
and Carlisle take around 5 hours 30 min-utes and arrive at Glasgow
Central Station. Edinburgh trains arrive and leave from Glasgow Queen
Street, as do trains to Stirling, Perth, Dundee, Aberdeen and Inverness.
Trains also run from Queen Street via Dumbarton to Oban, Fort William

By road: Express coach services operate
to London on the main motorway from Buchanan Street Coach Station,

Getting
Around
Glasgow has a single-line underground system which loops around the
city centre, stopping at Buchanan Street (with a travelator link to
Queen Street rail station) but not at Central Station. Outer suburbs
are connected by an efficient suburban overground train service and

with cab ranks at both main stations.
