La Mère Besson

This restaurant was opened in the 1930's
by the late Mère Besson. Large portions are prepared
using Provençal traditions. Specialities include the
estouffade Provençal and an platter of cod, vegetables
and garlic mayonnaise.
Le Relais des Semailles

Located in the old town this restaurant
has a relaxing atmosphere and offers a menu based on local
ingredients and specialities. Le Relais des Semailles has
a lovely outside terrace and a regularly changing menu.
Le Festival
55 boulvevard de la Croisette
Cannes
This restaurant is dedicated to the famous
Cannes film festival with every chair etched with the name
of a movie star. Booking is essential at this restaurant as
it is one of the most popular restaurants in Cannes.
Visitors can choose between the Restaurant or the Grill room
which is less formal.
La Villa

La Villa is a sophisticated restaurant
with a bar and dance floor. This restaurant serves food long
after all of the other restaurants in Cannes have closed and
serves a small but well selected menu including an excellent
choice of grilled fish. Live music is regularly offered.

Les Coulisses is a popular bar serving
tapas and Asian fusion food. This bar has a trendy and modern
décor and attracts a young clientele with cocktails
being the speciality. It is recommended that you get your
name on the list if you intend to arrive late, as the door
policy is strict.
Havana Room
42 boulevard La Croisette
Cannes
The Havana Room is a smoker's club selling
fine alcohol and some of the best cigars in Europe. The décor
is similar to that of a London gentlemen's club. There are
150 different types of cigars for sale including Havana and
Honduras cigars. A pianist is also present to add to the sophisticated
atmosphere.
Caliente

The Caliente is a lively bar with a South
American theme. Groups play salsa and samba music throughout
the night, adding to the lively atmosphere. The Caliente has
a sea front terrace where tropical cocktails are served.
La Chunga

Cannes
La Chunga is a late-night piano bar, packed
with movie stars from the festival. The bar is plush and the
bar staff are attentive and friendly.
Le Loft
13 Rue du Docteur Monod
Cannes
Le Loft is a New-York style lounge
bar and restaurant. Before eleven o clock the restaurant serves
Asian cuisine, after food the dance-floor comes alive.

Shopping
Cannes offers an array of designer shops,
which are concentrated between La Croisette and rue d'Antibes.
Many of the shopkeepers in Cannes have signed a 'Cannes Prestige'
charter which reimburse VAT, accept payment in most currencies
and have at least one member of staff that speaks fluent English.
The Rue d'Antibes has the best selection of chocolatiers and
delicatessens and the Rue Meynadier bustles with a market
atmosphere offering bargain prices.
For wines and liquers a boat trip to the Ile St Honorat is
recommended.
The Forville Market takes place every day except for Mondays
and is located between the town hall and the railway track.
The market has a selection of local flowers, fruit and vegetables.
Fresh fish can also be purchased on the market.
