Originally built in 1884 as the manse (minister's home for kingussie's free presbyterian church. Funds were provided by a local man, george ross mackenzie, who had immigrated to the usa and had found fortune becoming president of the singer sewing machine company. Converted to a hotel in the 1960s, it has been completely renovated and refurbished throughout to very high standards of comfort. The scot house hotel offers a relaxing atmosphere, friendly personal attention, excellent food and comfortable accommodation to a high standard throughout.
