Splash Landings Hotel : Description

The Splash Landings Hotel is a themed Caribbean style village in pink, blue and yellow with its own water park, located within the famous Alton Towers complex, 42 miles from Manchester. The 216 guestrooms are decorated in the resort's Caribbean village style and feature brightly coloured décor with driftwood furnishings, exotic fabrics, and traditional Caribbean lanterns and window shutters. All rooms have coffee and tea making facilities, direct dial phones, Internet access and satellite television. The room rate also includes entrance to the Cariba Creek water park, one day's entry to Alton Towers theme park (closed in winter, priority ride access to selected rides and exclusive early entrance to the theme park. Cariba Creek water park is a large indoor complex with a domed roof and heated outdoor pools, all with slides, rides, fun water attractions and seating areas. From spring to autumn, guests can also enjoy the rides and attractions of the Alton Towers Theme Park. For those who prefer to relax, the nearby Alton Towers Hotel's Spa Thermal experience includes a Roman sauna, steam room, tepidarium, foot reflexology baths, pool and jetted showers. A range of beauty, massage and holistic treatments are also available in the Eastern and Asian inspired treatment rooms. In Flambo's restaurant guests can enjoy Caribbean specialties such as Red Snapper in banana leaf and Lamb Dhal Curry, while the Secret Garden Restaurant in the Alton Towers Hotel offers a menu of international dishes. After dinner, guests can enjoy a cocktail accompanied by live cabaret entertainment in the bar. The hotel also has its own gift shop and free parking is available for those arriving by car. Manchester and Birmingham are both 42 miles away and Manchester Airport is approximately 52 miles from the hotel. Trains run from the airport to Manchester Piccadilly and other destinations. Guests can take a train to Stoke on Trent or Stafford station and take a taxi from there to the hotel. The journey should take approximately 40 minutes.
